Fresh Herbs, What's happening right now

Refreshing Mint Infused Water

IMG_2892I added Fresh Mint and Spearmint Leaves to the Water yesterday, and put it in the fridge over night to infuse and get cold. A Tea Strainer works nicely to catch the leaves. Lavender is also really good in water but I forgot to plant it this year. I will have to get some next time I’m out.  Basil and Sage in Water is also very good and more earthy.IMG_2893IMG_2895This is Spearmint in the front and Mint in the backIMG_2894This is all Mint. It grows like a weed.IMG_2896

I have (from left to right) Dill, Flat Leaf (or Italian Parsley), Cilantro, Curly Parsley, Sage, Mint, Spearmint and Mint (Basil that died in the back, need to get more), 2 Types of Tomatoes, Jalapeños and Rosemary.  John built this gorgeous Planter Box for me.  We got individual tiles at a really neat specialty store in Phx.  Now it looks like a piece of Art!

What are you planting this Spring?
