We stumbled upon “Gertrude’s Jazz Bar” on the way to dinner. We were looking for a quaint place to have a glass of wine and to listen to music. We found the perfect place!

What an adorable place. We could hear the music from the street and decided to walk up the staircase to the upper level where we found a hidden gem. A nice lady greeted us right away and sat us near the railing. The table for two was comfortable and the view spectacular. There was a cruise ship off in the distance, people down below admiring the scenery and taking photos. We settled in, relaxed, listened to the wonderful Hawaiian music and ordered a glass of wine from the Happy Hour Menu.
Isn’t this view spectacular?
This was the view from our table looking back into the restaurant. The place was pretty big and there were tables way off to the left-inside as well. The kitchen was open and towards the back. I must add that the bathroom was adorable. It was like a little boutique inside. I found myself in there longer than planned just looking at all the cute things. We were there at the beginning of Happy Hour so the place wasn’t very busy yet. Wine pours were nice and prices very reasonable. We didn’t have any food but it looked like a fun and creative appetizer menu. I would love to try the food here. Maybe next time!
*View from the sidewalk and then again from across the street.
